Product Details

LIQUID NAILS® Perfect Glue® Adhesive (PG-00) is a unique general purpose adhesive product designed for small to medium sized repairs in household, automotive, and industrial applications. The product is based on a moisture curing polymer technology that provides quick tack, fast cure, and adhesion to a wide range of surfaces including, but not limited to, wood, steel, porcelain, glass, polystyrene, ABS, fiberglass, fabric, concrete, aluminum, rubber, carpeting, painted surfaces, vinyl, and upholstery. Perfect Glue functions over a wide temperature range, -60ºF to 300ºF (-51ºC to 149ºC) and can fill gaps up to ¼” (6 mm) in width. Items repaired with Perfect Glue Adhesive should not be used in conventional ovens. This product is certified by UL Environment to meet the GREENGUARD Gold Standard as a low emitting material.

Application Details

General application: Press surfaces together within 5 minutes after applying adhesive. For better tackiness, pull surfaces back apart for 3-5 minutes, then rejoin. Surfaces may be adjusted for 10 minutes after joining. Adhesive will reach initial cure in one hour and full cure in 6-8 hours.

Sealing a Tear: If ends cannot be overlapped, then lay ends as close together as possible. Lay a bead of glue over entire tear and a little past each end. Smooth bead so that it forms a thin film on both sides of tear. Wipe away excess with a dry cloth.

Bonding Pieces End-to-End: Find a suitable piece to use as a “splint” to reinforce the repaired joint. Apply glue to the splint over the area that will be in contact with the repairedpiece. Apply glue to both ends of joint. Join all pieces together as desired and brace or clamp.

Plastics, Metals, and Non-porous Surfaces: Plastics, metals, and non-porous surfaces that can be bonded with this product include aluminum, steel, brass, PVC, fiberglass, rubber, neoprene, nylon, ABS, and polystyrene. This product cannot be used to bond polyethylene or polypropylene. Apply a bead of glue to one of the surfaces to be bonded. Spread the bead to cover the surface to be bonded.

Join the surfaces together, then pull them apart and let stand for 5 minutes before pressing back together. For a quicker bond, mist the surfaces lightly with water before rejoining. Allow 1 hour before light use and 8 hours before normal use.
